Beware of National Startup Investment Fund Program - NITDA warns

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has warned the general public to desist from registering for an empowerment programme named "National Startup Investment Fund" purported to have been initiated by the Federal Government.

Recall that Myinfoclock Daily Info Update team after thorough investigation on the National Startup Investment Fund Programme, immediately after its launch on Tuesday, made a publication warning the public about a Fake Programme named National Startup Investment Fund Programme, which is also known as NASIF Startup Grant.

The Head of Corporate Affairs and External Relations, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Mrs Hadiza Umar, in a public service announcement tilted Beware of National National Startup Investment Fund Program, on Saturday, declared the Programme as FAKE, warning that the Federal Government has nothing to do with such programme as being purported by the site.

"The attention of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has been drawn to an Investment fund Programme named "National Startup Investment Fund Program, accessible via (https://nationalstartupinvestmentfund.com), being purported to be from the Federal Government and requesting for individuals and startups in Nigeria to apply.

"NITDA is hereby notifying the general public that the Federal Government has nothing to do with this programme as being purported by the site.

"Additionally, NITDA advises the general public to avoid and desist from divulging personal information on this website and urges unsuspecting Nigerians to only visit official websites of Government Agencies to confirm the authenticity of any grant schemes or investment fund programmes", Mrs Umar stated.

In the recent days, several attempts have been made by Frausters to clone Federal Government empowerment programmes with full intent to "phish" applicants sensitive data for perfecting organised crimes.
