Npower Batch C: Payment of October Stipend commences soon - NASIMS

The National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS) has disclosed that it is in preparation to commence full Payment of October Stipends to the beneficiaries of the Batch C Npower Programme in no distant time.

The Npower Management Team which earlier clarified that September Stipend will not be paid however encouraged the beneficiaries to exercise patience while the technical team resolves observed hitches which may affect the October Stipend payment when it fully commences.

Myinfoclock Daily Info Update had in a recent update hinted that the payment of October Stipend to the Batch C Stream 1 Npower beneficiaries would commence between 1st November, 2021 to 10th November, 2021 while stating reasons why September Stipend would not be paid to the Npower beneficiaries.

In a brief report on the activities relating to the Npower beneficiaries Stipend Payment as earlier published, the October Stipend being the first payment to the beneficiaries, would undergo technical processes which include feeding the approved beneficiaries data into the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System server (GIFMIS Server).

The server is hosted and managed by the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation.

The GIFMIS Server when properly established for the new beneficiaries, would serve as an easy "one-click" payment platform for the beneficiaries in the subsequent payments to the qualified Npower beneficiaries.

Using the GIFMIS Server, beneficiaries who have payments tied to the Federal Government port such as NYSC members, Employees under Federal Government Ministries, Department and Agencies have been tracked since the transfer of Npower to the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development in 2020.

Other Npower beneficiaries who are likely to be caught up in the Server are exited Npower beneficiaries who reapplied and were successful among the Batch C Npower beneficiaries.

This is however if and only if their Bank Verification Numbers (BVN) are still in the GIFMIS Server.
