May Stipend, a new dawn in N-power program

An N-power Volunteer, Muhseen Musleem, has sworn to have received his May Stipend, this morning, when doubted and queried by beneficiaries who are eager to confirm the change in the payment process unlike the usual delay in the previous months.

Recall that the Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Developement, Sadiya Umar Farouk, has in a press briefing disclosed that the May Stipend was being processed after she decleard to have paid the April Stipend early last week.

It is unprecedented and absolutely commendable, a remark that the agitation of the N-power beneficiaries has been put into consideration, if the Ministry in charge actually pays the volunteers today.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere has been agog on wether the May Stipend would be the last to be received by the N-power beneficiaries.

Recall also that early last week, a mixed feeling was thrown into the hearts of the 500,000 beneficiaries of the N-power program over a 'speculated' disengagement of the current N-power beneficiaries and subsequent replacement with a fresh 400,000 beneficiaries.

While the N-power handlers has dispelled the rumour and encouraged the beneficiaries to stand keen in the discharge of their duties as such information was not from them, the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has remained mute without any official statement that would clear the heavy hearts of the beneficiaries of the N-power program.
