The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced that Nigeria has recorded 49 New Confirmed cases today bringing the total number of Confirmed cases to 542.
NCDC noted that, as at 10:40 pm 18th April, 23 cases were reported in Lagos, 12 in FCT, 10 in Kano, 1 in Oyo, and 1 in Ekiti.
The Agency further announced that the country has recorded 2 new deaths and 7 new recovery bringing the total death toll and total recovery to 19 and 166 respectively.

The 7 New recovery were recorded as 3 in Lagos, 1 in Osun, 2 in Kwara and 1 in Bauchi.
While the 2 new deaths were recorded in Lagos.
The analysis from the report indicates that Lagos has discharged 93 recovered victims, 23 in Abuja, 18 in Osun, 6 in Edo, 5 in Oyo, 5 in Ogun, 4 in Kaduna, 3 in Akwaibom, 2 in Ekiti, 2 in Rivers, 2 in Enugu, 2 in Rivers, 2 in Kwara and 1 in Bauchi.
The death toll as reported by NCDC indicates that Lagos has recorded 13 Deaths, 2 in Abuja, 1 in Kano, 1 in Katsina, 1 in Edo and 1 in Delta bringing total to 19.
Notably, Kano State recorded a first case on 14th April, 2020. In less than one week, Kano has recored 37 cases, 1 death and no recovery.
The data as announced by NCDC is the statistics of only 7153 tested samples in Nigeria.
