N-power Batch C: NASIMS to bench 50,000 on Biometrics rule violation as it prepares deployment list

The National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS) has centred the criteria for the selection of the 500,000 Batch C Stream 1 Npower beneficiaries on "conformity to the FingerPrint enrolment giudelines", as it prepares the final list of the beneficiaries' deployment.

Recall that the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development had shortlisted 550,000 Applicants to undergo the FingerPrint Verification stage of the selection processes, out of which 500,000 beneficiaries would be finally selected and engaged in the Batch C Stream 1 N-power programme.

The N-power Management clearly defined rules for the FingerPrint Enrolment which included that "Applicant must enrol 4 fingers - two right, 2 left", however, some applicants flouted the rule by enrolling 10 fingers.

An applicant of the Programme who noticed the implication of enrolling 10 fingers instead of 4 fingers as directed by NASIMS, may have found favour on Friday when she was requested to send her details which included Full Names, Phone Number, Email Address, Application ID, BVN,  etc with the tittle "Biometric Capture" as stated below:

Among the 50,000 applicants to be dropped also include applicants who are unable to complete the Biometrics Enrolment due to one situation or the other, as was the case of the "Record Update/Test" Phase.

Is Deployment Date September?

This is not Official as claimed. There has been a media report claiming that the the deployment of the N-power Beneficiaries would be in September, 2021.

It went further to State that it was announced by the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.

The Honourable Minister Sadiya Umar Farouk has not at any point in her latest engagements disclosed that the deployment date has been fixed in September.

NASIMS has clarified that it has not fixed any date for the deployment of the N- power Beneficiaries.  However, the next phases of the Batch C Stream engagement processes would continue fully in August, 2021.
