Apply Now: FG okays Level 8 Graduate Fire Service Officers Recruitment

The Federal Fire Service has acknowledged the recruitment of Level 8 Graduate Fire Service Officers in the ongoing Federal Fire Service Recruitment 2023/2024.

The agency in a statement signed by the Service Public Relations Officer, SF Ugo Huan, for the Controller General, on Thursday, stated that "applicants for the Federal Fire Service Recruitment who applied for the Position of Assistant Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 08) are hereby informed that all application submitted remain valid despite early removal of the option for further applications on the portal".

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) commencing the Federal Fire Service Recruitment 2023/2024 on 27th December 2024 included the option for the Position of Assistant Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 08) but was later removed by the board within few days.

Interested applicants for the Federal Fire Service Recruitment 2023/2024 can proceed to apply for the available positions on the Federal Fire Service Recruitment 2023/2024 portal.

How to Apply for the Federal Fire Service Recruitment 2023/2024

1. Open the the Federal Fire Service Recruitment 2023/2024 link https://cdcfib.career and allow it to load. 

i. For a better experience, use good browsers such as Google Chrome

ii. Again, switch your Mobile Phone to Desktop Mode on your Browser, or better use Laptop or Desktop Computer for better experience.

2. Create Account

i. When the Federal Fire Service Recruitment 2023/2024 Portal opens, click on "Apply Now"

ii. When creating Account, fill in the Account Form with the following Information: First name, Middle Name, Last Name, Position you are applying for, Email Address, Phone Number, Password.

iii. When creating your Password, note that your Password must be a combination of the following:
- At least 1 UPPER CASE/CAPITAL LETTER (e.g A)
- At least 1 lower case/small letter (e.g a)
- At least 1 number (e.g 4)
- At least 1 special character (e.g #, $, &, €, ¥)
- At least 6 characters long

Example of a good Password is Musa1234€. You would notice that Upper Case, Lowercase, Number, Special Character were used in the Password example, and the Password is more than 6 Characters.

iv. Retype the Password and Click "Continue".

Note that once the Account Creation is successful, you can log in anytime by going to the Home page and Clicking on "Login if already Registered".  It's beside the "Apply" Button.

If you have created Account in the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) portal https://cdcfib.career before when applying for previous opportunities such as immigration, Civil Defence etc, then continue by logging into the portal.

3. Proceed to fill the the Federal Fire Service Recruitment 2023/2024 Application Form by choosing your suitable Position.

 i. The first step after choosing your position is to fill in your Bio Data with required data such as WhatsApp Number, Adress, City etc.

ii. Uploading of Passport Photograph. This is the most critical part of the Federal Fire Service Recruitment 2023/2024. Note that maximum file size is 80kb. iii. Fill other Biodata part of the the Federal Fire Service Recruitment 2023/2024 Form such as State of Origin, Local Government of Origin, Height, Chest size, Gender, Date of Birth, Marital Status, Religion, National Identification Number. Click "Save and Continue"

4. Proceed to fill the Educational/Qualification Section of the NSCDC Recruitment 2022 Application Form. 

Fill in Result Grades and other required parts.

5. Review and Submit.

Candidates are adviced to Print out Refree Form which must be duly completed for submission during the screening exercise.

Candidate should also note that multiple application results to Automatic Disqualification.

Available Positions in the Federal Fire Service Recruitment 2023/2024

Category A: INSPECTORATE CADRE

Inspector Of Fire (IF) CONPASS 07 (Nursing)

Applicants must be Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Midwives (RM), Registered Nurses/Midwives (RNIM) obtained from recognized institutions

Assistant Inspector Of Fire (AIF), CONPASS 06

Applicants must be holders of NCE or National Diploma (ND) in any related field, obtained from any recognized Polytechnic/Institution.

Category B: ASSISTANT CADRE

Fire Assistant II (FA II) CONPASS 04

Applicants must be holders of GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO or other equivalents with a maximum of five (5) credits in not more than two sittings, which should include English and Mathematics.

Fire Assistant III (FAIII), Appliance Driver (Specialist), CONPASS 03

Applicants must be holders of GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO or their equivalents with a minimum of five (5) credits in not more than two sittings which should include at least English and Mathematics. Applicants with Class E Drivers' License is an added advantage

Requirements for the Federal Fire Service Recruitment 2023/2024

1. Applicants must be Nigerians by birth;

2. Applicants must possess the requisite qualifications. Any certificate or qualification not presented and accepted at the recruitment center shall not be accepted after the recruitment.

3. Applicants must be fit and present certificates of medical fitness from Government recognized hospitals;

4. Applicants must be of good character and must not have been convicted of any criminal offences;

5. Applicants must not be member of secret society, cult or drug addict, etc

6. Applicants must not have been involved in any financial embarrassment

7. Applicants must be between ages of 18 and 35 years;

8. Applicants' height must not be less than 1.65m for male and 1.60m for female;

9. Applicants' chest measurement must not be less than 0.87 for men;

9. Computer literacy will be of added advantage.
