FG begins Payment of 9 Months Npower Outstanding Stipends

The Federal Government has on Thursday began payment of the long awaited Npower 9 Months Outstanding Stipends.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu had in her statement in November assured the beneficiaries that the Ministty was on the process of paying the beneficiaries, noting that funds which were meant for the Npower Stipends Payment but were seized by the contracted Payment services providers have been recovered.

Giving a breakdown of the Npower Payment in its budgetary defence last week, the ministry stated that all Batch C1 Npower beneficiaries received 15 months of stipends, of which  12 months Stipends were paid for the service year and 3 months paid as exit package.

The ministry added that all Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries received 3 months of stipend payment from October to December 2022, adding that only Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries are owed 9 Months Outstanding Stipends from January to September 2023.

The Ministry further disclosed that out of the 490,000 Batch C2 Npower Beneficiaries, only 440,000 Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries are eligible for the 9 months outstanding Stipends Payment.

Joy flooded the Social Media today as many beneficiaries have confirmed recieving some months Stipends Payment out the 9 months overdue Stipends.

The payment is in progress, all beneficiaries are expected to lie cool why Alerts continue to drop.
