NPC describes recent Enumerators and Supervisors Training Invitation as Fake

The National Population Commission (NPC) has described the recent Training Invitation recieved by Enumerator and Supervisor Adhoc Staff Applicants as Fake.

Several NPC Enumerator and Supervisor Adhoc Staff Applicants reported to have recieved the Training Invitation via their Email Addresses last week, which contained instructions on how to participate in an up coming Virtual Training, and a digital copy of the 2023 Census Training Manual.

However, the NPC has on Tuesday described the Email Invitation as Fake, stating that the recruitment of Census functionaries for the 2023 Population and Housing Census has been concluded before the exercise was postponed in April, 2023.

"Our attention has been drawn to a fake email message being sent to some persons that their application for the position of Census Ad-hoc Staff has been accepted.

"The Commission wishes to inform the public that it is not undergoing any recruitment exercise for the Census at the moment. Kindly note that NPC has concluded recruitment of the functionaries for the 2023 Census before the exercise was postponed.

"Should there be a need for the list of selected candidates to be updated in the future before the Census exercise, it will be announced on the national media and the NPC social media platforms and website.

"We implore Nigerians to disregard the fake email message and avoid falling victim to swindlers," NPC stated via it's verified Facebook Handle.
