4 Things to Do If no Text Message for INEC Adhoc Staff Screening

The INEC Adhoc Staff Screening is a process used by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that credible staff are selected for election duties.

Unfortunately, many people don't know what to do if they don't receive a text message from INEC for the INEC Adhoc Staff Screening after the online application.

This may be due to technical reasons such as activation of DND on Phone Number used during the INEC Adhoc Staff Registration, Network or System Failure or mistakes made during the Registration.

The good news is that there are several steps you can take to ensure that you will be able to participate in the screening and training process. It's important to stay informed about any changes or updates regarding INEC Adhoc Staff Screening, so that you can be sure you have all the information necessary to complete it successfully.

These are what to do if you didn't recieve Text Message Invitation for the INEC Adhoc Staff Screening

1. Do not Panic, visit LGA

First of all, note that the Adhoc Staff Screening Text Message is not "INEC Adhoc Staff Shortlisting" and no list of Applicants will be pasted or published any where. All applicants who registered online are eligible to present their qualifications and identity cards for the screening.

Shortlisting of INEC Adhoc Staff who would participate in 2023 General Election is done after the INEC Adhoc Staff Training. The INEC Adhoc Staff Screening is a way of getting into the Training but not the INEC Adhoc Staff Training itself. This means that only those who are qualified during the Screening will be trained.

The INEC Adhoc Staff Screening has been conducted in very few Northern LGAs in December and earlier in this January.

The nationwide screening has been scheduled to begin massively on Monday 17th January 2023 and ends on 23rd January, 2023.

The INEC Adhoc Staff Screening is Local Government based and each State Electoral Commission can choose Dates between 17th of January 2023 and 23rd January, 2023 for their own screening.

So one of the things to do if you didn't recieve Text Message until 17th January 2023 is to visit your LGA Secretariat with the INEC Adhoc Staff Screening Requirements in the link below, within these 7 days period.

2. Keep tabs with fellow Applicants in the same LGA

Another thing to do is to keep in-touch with Applicants in the same LGA with you. There's no way one or two persons would not receive text messages in an entire LGA.

One Local Government schedule may not be exact with another LGA schedule. That's the main reason why you need to keep tabs with Applicants in the same LGA with you.

3. Deactivate DND on Phone Number

Activation of DND on a Phone Number can block bulk SMS from reaching the Phone Number. The INEC Adhoc Staff Screening Invitations are mainly Text Messages sent through bulk SMS to the numbers used during the INEC Adhoc Staff Registration.

To Deactivate DND, do the following:

(i) Open "Compose Text" on your Phone. Just the way you send normal SMS.

(ii) Type in ALLOW and send to 2442, then wait for response.

To Check your Phone Number DND Status

(i) Open "Compose Text" on your Phone. Just the way you send normal SMS.

(ii) Type in STATUS and send to 2442 and wait

(iii) A text message "Your Number is not Subscribe for DND" will be sent to you by your Network Provider.

If the Text Messages says DND is active on your Number, proceed to cancel through the first method above.
