MSME Survival Funds: Payment on going, all verified beneficiaries will be paid - PDO assures

Many applicants of the Payroll Supports Track, a component of the N75 Billion MSME Survival Funds Scheme, have raised mixed feelings following the continuation of the 3 months payment to selected MSMEs and MSME Employees.

The Project Delivery Office of the Scheme responding to questions on applicants who had been verified but have not been paid assured that all MSMEs and Employees verified will be paid while encouraging the applicants to remain patient as payment is on going.

There were also complaints by some applicants of the Payroll Supports Track who recieved only one or two payments out of the 3 month salary Supports which the PDO encouraged to exercise some patience as payment is on going assuring that all verified applicants will be duly paid.

Responding to questions bordering on the verification of the recent application, the Project Delivery Office asked the applicants to remain patient as the verification process is on going.

Earlier before the continuation of the payment yesterday, the PDO had in an update stated that "in furtherance to @NigeriaGov commitment to support small businesses to cushion the economic effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, 64,395 businesses have been verified and 320,678 employees have been paid across the country."

The Payroll Supports Track of the MSME Survival Funds Scheme targets 500,000 MSME and MSME Employees as the Federal Government furthers on the full implementation of all the components of the Scheme.

According the President Mohammadu Buhari led administration, the Survival Fund Programme is estimated to save at least 1.3 million jobs across the country while targeting an average of 35,000 individuals per state.
