MSME Survival Funds: Payroll Supports to continue tomorrow

The Payroll Supports, a component of the Federal Government MSME Survival Funds Scheme, will tomorrow 19th January, 2021 continue in some States which have not completed their quotas as part of the final round of the Payroll Supports application mop-up.

Yobe State MSME Survival Funds and Guaranteed Oftake Scheme Focal Person, Abubakar  Adamu disclosing the decision noted that the application process would last for only 7 days, adding that there would be no further extention of the timeline for the Payroll Supports after the seven days duration.

The Project Delivery Office of the MSME Survival Funds Scheme had in a breakdown of number of beneficiaries of the Payroll Supports according to Geopolitical Zones, declared status of some States 'Open' for more Beneficiaries.

Kano State closed with 17,000 employees beneficiaries, Kaduna at 13,000 Beneficiaries, Katsina at 13,000 Beneficiaries, Zamfara at 13,000 Beneficiaries while Sokoto at 7,000 Beneficiaries, Jigawa at 8,190 Beneficiaries and Kebbi at 4,459 Beneficiaries are declared 'Open' for more beneficiaries in North West Geopolitical Zone.

Bauchi State closed with 13,000 Beneficiaries while Taraba at 8,425 Beneficiaries, Gombe at 9,783 Beneficiaries,  Adamawa at 6,506 Beneficiaries, Borno at 5,643 Beneficiaries and Yobe State at 5,973 Beneficiaries are declared open for more beneficiaries in the North East Geopolitical Zone.

Also, Abuja closed with 13,014 Beneficiaries, Benue at 13,014 Beneficiaries,  Plateau at 13,003 while Nassarawa at 12,564 Beneficiaries, Niger at 12,095 Beneficiaries, Koggi at 4,966 Beneficiaries, Kwara at 5,013 Beneficiaries are declared 'Open' for more beneficiaries in the North Central Geopolitical Zone. 

The PDO noted that out of the 500,000 Beneficiaries targetted in the Payroll Supports Scheme, over 283,000 employees of MSMEs have so far benefited under the Payroll Supports Scheme.

Other Components of the N75Billion MSME Survival Funds Scheme earmarked by the President Mohammadu Buhari led administration to cushion the effect of COVID-19 Pandemic on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Nigeria as Part of the National Economic Sustainablity Plan are:

The Formalization Supports also known as Free CAC Registration through which 250,000 unregistered Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises would be registered free of charge with the Corporate Affairs Commision by the Federal Government as part of National Economic Sustainability Plan on MSMEs. The application for the Formalisation Support has been concluded in some States.

The Artisan and Transport Supports through which 333,000 Artisans (Tailors, Plumbers, Bricklayers, Masons, Carpenters, Mechanic etc) and Transporters (Keke Riders, Okada Riders, Taxi Drivers, Bus Drivers etc) would benefit from a one time N30,000 to N50,000 Grant.

The Activation for the Artisan Supports has progressed in many parts of the country through 'clusters' capture as in Apo Mechanic Village in Abuja, Bariga in Lagos, Kofar Ruwa Market in Kano, Ariaria Market, Aba in Abia State, Sabon Kasuwa in Bauchi State etc.

Others are the General Grant of N50,000 to 100,000 MSMEs and Guaranteed Offtake Scheme for bulk purchase of Products from 100,000 Producers.

    1. Kindly note that leaving your bank details in a open medium is not advisable.Do also know that anyone verified for the Payroll Supports would be paid especially if your State has not exhausted its quota.
