A widely circulating Fake CBN concessional Grant has claimed that the Federal Government in conjuction with the Central Bank of Nigeria has commenced disbursement of Nigeria Youth Investment Fund to empower 500,000 Youths Nationwide.
The Fake information furthered that the Government Grant is available until 15th January, 2021 while encouraging everyone to register through a fake data Phishing website.
The Fake website buried in bit.ly url shortner is https://cbn-grant-gov-ng.new-year-gift.xyz which is a free hosted domain hurridly designed with the Nigeria Youth Investment Funds graphics for the purpose of defrauding unsuspecting Nigerians.
The Federal Ministry of Youth and Development in a recent press statement warned Nigerian Youths to be wary of individuals posing as FMYSD agents for the N75 Nigeria Youth Investment Fund as the Ministry embarks on mass processing of application data.
The Ministry in the statement signed by its Director of Press, Lere-Adams Adjobome advised Nigerian Youths to shun groups that facilitate access to registration, training, and other services for the NYIF at a fee.
The Director of Press further outline Important Information that would guide Nigeria Youths to ensure safety from fraudulent individual who may intend to prey on unsuspecting youths.
He stated:
i. Do not access unsecured and fraudulent application portals: Apply on: https://nmfb.com.ng/nigeria-youth-investment-fund/
ii. Do not disclose your BVN, NIN and other sensitive information to fraudsters and unauthorized persons/ groups.
v. Access to the Application portal and Entrepreneurship Training for the NYIF is FREE. NO FEE REQUIRED.
