The Personal Assistant to President Mohammadu Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmad in a tweet made it known to the public yesterday while confirming that he has linked his NIN with his SIM Cards.

"I have just submitted my National Identity Number (NIN) to my network provider, MTN for verification. Good to see they have made the process easy, you don’t have to visit their office and do it physically, just visit https://mtnonline.com/nim/ to submit yours. Kindly RT for others."

2. Enter your First Name, Last Name and Middle Name

3. Enter the MTN Phone Number you want to link.

"You can dial *346# to retrieve you NIN through the  Phone Number used during NIN Registration.

Don't have NIN? You can do so conveniently by starting the process online here; http://nimc.gov.ng. Then visit a nearest enrollment centre to complete the registration.
