Breaking: UBEC releases new date for Federal Teachers Scheme Exam

The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) has today announced that the 2020 Federal Teachers Scheme Recruitment Examination scheduled earlier to hold on 24th October, 2020 will now hold officially on 16th November, 2020.

Announcing the new schedule for the Examination, the Universal Basic Education Commission noted that the Computer Based Test (CBT) Centers for the examination would be made available at all the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) across the Federation before 7th November, 2020.

Daily Info Update had in a telephone interview with a UBEC official gathered and reported that the earlier scheduled date in October would not hold as it coincided with the peak of the EndSARS Protest.

UBEC  in October released the names of about 14,800 shortlisted candidates out of more than 70,000 applicants who applied for the scheme, in the statistics of 400 shortlisted candidates per each of the 36 States plus the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The Commision had mandated shortlisted candidates to visit their State Universal Basic Education Boards (SUBEB) for the list of their venues while noting that text massages may be sent to the shortlisted Candidates.

According to the Universal Basic Education Commission Management, the official processes for the screening Examination would  commence at 7am prompt while verification of candidates would commence at 8:30am.

Stating the requirements for the screening exam, the management advised the shortlisted Candidates to come to the screening Centers with the following:

1. Original Copy of the Printed Application Form

2. Original Credentials for sighting as well as photocopy for submission at the test centres.

 3. Valid Identity Card: National Identity Card, Voter's Card, Drivers' License, International Passport. 

4. Face Mask and Hand Sanitisers

UBEC Management had also stressed that lateness to the screening centers would not be tolerated noting that all shortlisted candidates should comply to the COVID-19 Protocols at the centers and also ensure that prohibited items are not brought to the exam centers.
