Is Sadiya Umar Farouk single or married?

Sahara Reporters has today reported that the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouk, has tied the  nuptial knot with the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar in a secret ceremony in Abuja on Friday 18th September, 2020.

Sadiya Umar Farouk, the youngest Minister in the President Buhari administration is a popular and controversial name in the N-power Program, Home Grown School Feeding, Trader Moni and Conditional Cash Transfer as she takes the lead on Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.

Sahara Reporters noted that the nuptial knot was facilitated by the First Lady, Aisha Buhari.

"Although, it was rumoured that she dated and was planning to marry Buhari last year, Farouq, who had been around the President since she was a teenager, has never dated the retired military general."

"However, in an attempt to get at the First Lady, members of the cabal around Buhari approached her parents in a bid to have her marry the President.

"But with that episode now firmly behind them, Farouq and Abubakar proceeded to cement their relationship last Friday in the private ceremony."

"The minister, who clocks 46 on November 5, 2020 has never been married and has no children."

"The Chief of Air Staff, who is from Bauchi State, on the other hand, has 10 children from two wives – one of whom he has since divorced."

"The two have kept their marriage a secret just the same way their relationship escaped public radar." Sahara Reporters wrote.

An Islamic Schola, however, in a Report https://www.vanguardngr.com/2020/09/marriage-between-air-chief-and-sadiya-umar-faruk-false-voa-hausa described the rumour as false, stating that Islam does not permit secret marriages.
