Dr Obadiah Mailafia, a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, has on Monday in a Morning Crossfire Program on Nigeria Info 95.1FM Abuja disclosed that some of the Boko Haram Terrorist Sponsors are active in the Nigerian Government.
Dr Mailafia furthered that a serving Northern Governor is a Boko Haram leader as revealed by some repentant Boko Haram Members.
In his emphatic revelation, the former CBN Deputy Governor pointed out that both the Boko Haram Terrorists and the Bandits terrorising Southern Kaduna and other parties of Nigeria are one and on the same mission.
“Some of us have our intelligence networks. I have met with some of the bandits; we have met with some of their high commanders – one or two who have repented – they have sat down with us not once, not twice."
“They told us that one of the northern governors is the commander of Boko Haram in Nigeria. Boko Haram and the bandits are one and the same."
Dr Mailafia, who was also the Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress in the 2019 General Election further reaveled that the terrorists, despite the nationwide interstate lockdown as a preventive guideline for the curb of the COVID-19 Pandemic, were able to move weapons and Members across different States and regions in Nigeria including the Southern Nigeria.
"They have a sophisticated network. During this lockdown their planes were moving up and down as if there was no lockdown."
“They were moving ammunition, moving money, and distributing them across different parts of the country.”
"They are already in the South, in the rain forests of the South. They are everywhere. They told us that when they finish these rural killings, they will move to phase two. Phase two is that they will go into urban cities, going from house to house killing prominent people."
“I can tell you this is the game plan."
Dr Mailafia who demonstrated an unalterable vehemence is his speech noted that the Boko Haram Terrorists' bigger plan in 2022, necessitating their radical movement to all parts of Nigeria, is to perfect a Second Civil War plan, pointing out that in his personality and level of exposure he was not one to make a spurious and unfounded allegations.
“By 2022, they want to start a civil war in Nigeria. Don’t joke with what I am saying I have a PhD from Oxford University. I am a central banker, we don’t talk nonsense. I have this from the highest authority, some of the commanders of Boko Haram.”
