Latest on N-Power: Batch A and B Payment and Transition Update


The Minister for Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Shamzuma Ahmed, in a media chat with the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, has disclosed some of the plans of the Federal Government for the transitioning of the exiting and exited N-power beneficiaries.

The Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development had in her Ministry’s weekly activities update informed the general public that her Ministry and other stakeholders have been working assiduously to ensure successful transition of the pioneer N-power beneficiaries.

Mrs Ahmed in a media chat this morning disclosed that part of the Transition plan from the Federal Government is a low interest loan such as the Government Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Program (GEEP) Loan of a maximum of N100,000.

The Minister further disclosed that payment of the June Stipends of the N-power beneficiaries  would commence within 72hours and would include payment for the outstanding March, April and May Stipends for the beneficiaries affected by the migration of the payment platform to the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System Server.

In a recent development, the Ogun State Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Teachers has condemned the disengagement of the N-Teach beneficiaries in the State, noting that it has created a wide hole in teaching in the State.


The NUT Chairman while commending the huge efforts of the beneficiaries however urged the Ogun State Government to consider the N-power beneficiaries in the on going 1,500 teacher’s recruitment in the State.
