N-power: 4.48 Million Nigerians apply 16 days after opening portal, Ministry intensifies for Transition

Barely 2 weeks of opening portal for the 2020 N-power recruitment, more than 4 million Nigerians have tendered application for the program.

The Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouk, in a weekly update of the Ministry's activities revealed that exactly 4.48 million Nigerians have applied for the program within 16 days of opening the portal.


Miss Farouk furthered that she has been working with her team to ensure successful transition of the exited beneficiaries  of the N-power program.
My team and I continue to interface with stakeholders to ensure successful transition for the N-power.
Meanwhile, the beneficiaries of the N-power program in response to the Minister's update, lamented the non-payment of the June stipends for the two batches while batch B worry if they would receive July stipends as they officially exit the program by the 31st of July,2020.

The Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development in a bid to streamline the N-power program and accommodate many Nigerians, has reduced the graduate category of the program to solely N-teach and N-Health which would last for 12 months while N-Agro and other Categories would last for 6months, and open to non-graduates.

The Humanitarian Ministry while disclosing the number of Nigerians that have  applied for the 2020 N-Power program however did not state the exact number of Nigerians that have applied for the graduate categories of the program to buttress the level of graduate unemployment in Nigeria.
