COVID-19 Update: Nigeria Confirmed cases surge


The Federal Ministry of Information and Culture has taken to their Facebook handle to report that as at 10:40 pm Saturday 28th March, 2020, 8 New Confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria. 2 new cases were confirmed in FCT, 4 in Oyo, 1 in Kaduna and 1 in Osun. This brings number of Confirmed cases to 97.

Earlier today, the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) had reported that as at 4:00 pm, 8 New cases were confirmed. 1 case was recorded in Benue and 7 cases in Lagos. A total of 16 cases have been recorded today.

Death toll around the world hits 30,642 while confirmed cases is at 660,150. A total of 141,464 victims have recovered from the COVID-19 disease around the world as at the hour of this publication.

The United States and Current epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic has recorded 2,020 deaths while Italy Death toll has risen to 10,023. Confirmed cases in the United States has rocketed to 121,043 while Spain death toll hits 5,924.

China has remain stable with no increase in death toll at 3,295 and no increase in confirmed cases at 81,394. A good number of 74,971 victims have recovered from China COVID-19 pandemic.
