Coronavirus Update: Africa records second Coronavirus case


The second case of Coronavirus infection in Africa has been recorded in Algeria. This was release in a statement by World Health Organisation (WHO) Africa as reported by Algerian Ministry of Health, Population and Hospital Reform.

The deadly disease has earlier been recorded in Egypt and the first in Africa to have a confirmed case.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) identified Algeria as one of the 13 country in Africa that need utmost priority for preparedness measures as a result of their direct link or high volume of travel to China.

As at today, Coronavirus confirmed cases across the world is at 81,175 with China topping at 78,089 followed by South Korea, Japan and Italy.

Coronovirus death case across the world is at 2,766 with China topping at 2,715 followed by Iran and South Korea.

A total of 30,278 patients have recovered from the virus infection across the world.
