Betta swings into action, begins massive Payment of Backlog Stipends | Npower Stipend Payment Latest Update

Barely 80hours in Office, the new Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu, has commenced massive Payment of Backlog Stipends to the Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries.

This is in line with President Tinubu's decision to lift 136 Million poor Nigerians out of Poverty under the Federal Government poverty alleviation scheme.

Betta, who assumed office on Monday after being sworn in on the same day, had assured utmost sincerity, transparency and accountablility to Nigerians in the discharge of her duties as the new Minister of Humanitarian Affairs affairs and Poverty Alleviation.  

Late night of Wednesday, many batch C2 Npower beneficiaries have confirmed recieving multiple Credit Alerts of the over-lingered Backlog Stipends owed to the beneficiaries.

Recall that the 490,000 Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries, who joined the Federal Government Npower Programme on 4th October 2022, are yet to recieve complete 3 Months Stipends in the 1 year Programme which ends next month.

The Batch C2 Backlog Stipend Payment has been a bone of contention in the Npower Programme as recurring delays have attributed to transition to a new government, lack of fund, and expection of a new Minister.

It is exciting to record that the new Minister has considered clearing of the backlog stipends among the top priorities of the Ministry in less than 1 week of assuming office -a stride which has been declared applaudable by the beneficiaries as they express their joy in their Social Media groups.

As at the now, Backlog Stipends of October, November and December,  2022 are still being paid. There is currently no payment for January, February, March, April, May, June and July 2023 Stipends. There is also no payment yet for Batch C1 benevolent package.

The 3 Month Stipends of 2022 are the keys to building a payment database that will ease the payment of Backlog Stipends of 2023. This will bring all the beneficiaries on the same payment level, so that a single trigger of subsequent payments will credit all the beneficiaries without further spill-over or backlogs.

The Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries are encouraged to exercise patience while their Bank Accounts get credited as the wait is finally over.
