The National Social Investment Management Sysytem (NASIMS) has Today Morning said it has intensified efforts to re-initiate Npower beneficiaries Stipend Payment.
NASIMS made the announcement while responding to beneficiaries querries on why the payment of Outstanding Stipends has been stalled for days.
The Npower Management gave the assurance that all hands are on deck to ensure that Outstanding Stipends are cleared before the end of this June, 2023.
Responding to the assertion that Npower Programme has ended, NASIMS stated that Npower Programme is not ending any time soon, adding that the institutionalization of the programme in the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has given it all necessary backing through the NSIP Agency Act as a key programme for the empowerment of unemployed youths in the country.
NASIMS apologized for the continued delay in the payment of the outstanding Stipends, assuring that in just a moment, the Stipend payment would be re-initiated.
The Npower Management had in a previous statement clarified that only September, October and November Stipends are the Outstanding Stipends being paid to Batch C1 Npower beneficiaries. NASIMS confirmed that Npower Batch C1 has ended in August 2022, hence the Stipends being paid to them are "benevolence" approved by the Minister, Sadiya Umah Farouk.
Speaking on the Batch C2 Stipend Payment, NASIMS noted that it is prioritizing payment of October, November and December 2022 Outstanding Stipends to Batch C2, citing that it has been the obstacle holding the commencement of January, February, March, April and May 2023 Stipends Payment.

"Batch C2 October, November and December 2022 Stipends is a top priority for us. This will enable us bring all the beneficiaries in the new Payment platform, so that January, February, March, April and May 2023 Stipend Payment can be triggered uniformly without accruing further outstanding Stipends", NASIMS asured.
The Npower Management had also clarified that Payment status are no longer updated on the beneficiaries' NASIMS Profile because Npower beneficiaries Stipend Payment has been moved to a new payment platform.
"Beneficiaries can quickly know if they have been paid by checking their Bank Accounts once payment begins. It will no longer display on the NASIMS Dashboard", the Npower management added.
NASIMS further assured that once the Outstanding Stipends are paid completely, January, February, March, April and May 2023 Stipend Payment will begin for Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries only.
