FG declares No Work No Pay on Npower Beneficiaries

The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has declared a condition of "No Work, No Pay on the Batch C2 Npower Beneficiaries, who commenced the 1 year Programme in October, 2022.

According to the Ministry, the disheartening Report of Absenteeism and Abscondment of the Batch C2 Npower Beneficiaries from their Places of Primary Assignment has triggered the decision, as the Monitoring and Evaluation Team continues to ensure adherence to the stated codes of the Npower programme.

The ministry vowed to penalise beneficiaries who are found absent or may have absconded from their Places of Assignment.

"We want to make it clear that any beneficiary who is found absent in his/her PPA without official permission from his/her supervisor will be placed on payment hold for 45 days.

"If at the end of the 45 days, there is no official clearance Letter for re-instatement of the beneficiary by the State Focal Person, the beneficiary will be exited from the Npower Programme", the Ministry warned.

The Npower Management advised that beneficiaries who may have other forms of engagement should stick to one as it has taken the decision of full implementation of the "Terms of Engagement" in the Programme.

The Ministry further noted that it is working tirelessly to ensure that the Npower beneficiaries who are yet to recieve their Stipends, and those with backlogs are cleared without hesitation.

  1. About NASIM,Should they be going to work when their salaries are note paid when due. How could you be paying beneficiaries their stipend after couple of months that is not good enough. Pay workers their wages / salaries before their sweat dries.
