Why many NPC Adhoc Staff Enumerators and Supervisors will not be Approved

The Shortlisting (Approval) of Enumerators and Supervisors NPC Adhoc Staff has generated questions which have been unanswered, and has caused anxiety among some Applicants of the NPC Adhoc Staff 2022/2023 Recruitment.

This post serves to address these issues, and explain why many NPC Enumerators and Supervisors Adhoc Staff Applicants will not be shortlisted (Approved). It will also update the Applicants on the Training of the Enumerators and Supervisors.

Let's firstly remind the Applicants that no list of Successful NPC Adhoc Staff Applicants has been released any where. However, "APPOVED" Status stands as being PRESELECTED for Self-Learning, Virtual ClassRoom Training and LGA Level Training.

This entails that the Final List of NPC Enumerators and Supervisors Adhoc Staff Applicants will only be released after the LGA Level Training.

Some Enumerators and Supervisors NPC Adhoc Staff Applicants are wondering why they have not been Approved. The answer is very simple.

It's obvious that the National Population Commission said they will engage 623,797 Enumerators and 125,944 Supervisors for the 2023 Population and Housing Census Exercise, in addition to other NPC Adhoc Staff consisting of 24,001 Data Quality Assistants, 12,000 Field Cordinators, 1,000 Data Quality Managers, 1,639 Training Center Adminstrators, and 59,000 LGA Facilitators.

If we share 623,797 Enumerators accross the 774 LGAs of the federation, it would be about 805 Enumerators per LGA. But this number can't be evenly distributed because some States have more LGAs than others. So in some States, you may have 2 to 4 Enumerators per Ward.

In the same way, if we share 125,944 Supervisors across the 774 LGAs of the federation, it would be about 167 Supervisors per LGA.

Meanwhile, over 1.5 million NPC Enumerators and Supervisors Adhoc Staff Application were recieved in the 2022/2023 NPC Adhoc Staff Recruitment Application.

The truth is, not all Applicants would be selected, but some Applicants in one way or the other may be highly favoured.

The trimming of the Applicants started with the Screening. So Applicants who did not participate in the Nationawide Screening are automatically DISQUALIFIED. Similarly, Applicants who participated in the Screening but are not qualified, would have their Application Status DECLINED.

We had earlier advised NPC Enumerator and Supervisor Adhoc Staff Applicants on what to do if Application status are not Approved after Screening.

The "APPROVAL" of Application Status ends this week. Any NPC Enumerator or Supervisor Adhoc Staff not Approved till the end of the week, stands no chance anymore.

The NPC Enumerator and Supervisor Training Date is not yet announced after the initial postponement from 6th February 2023.

However, the NPC Enumerator and Supervisor Training Date will be announced after the Presidential Election being held on 25th February, 2023.
