Following the release of Lists of Candidates Shortlisted by the National Population Commission, from the large pool of Applicants of the NPC Recruitment 2022, many Applicants are eager to know if they have been shortlisted.
The essence of this NPC Recruitment 2022 and Shortlisting Update is to keep you abreast on the happenings around the National Population Commission as the commission readies for the 2023 Population and Housing Census.
The NPC Recruitment 2022 Shortlisting which was released on the 2nd of January, 2023 was for Special Work Force, basically Facilitators.
The Screening of the Facilitator Applicants commenced on 29th December 2022 and ended on 2nd January, 2022.
All Applicants were screened from the NPC Recruitment 2022 Portal http://2023censusadhocrecruitment.nationalpopulation.gov.ng, and were sent Training Invitation via Text Messages and Emails.
Some Applicants who recieved the Invitation Messages did not turn up for the State Level Training. If you are an Applicant who recieved the Invitation but was unable to present yourself for the training, kindly visit your State NPC Office to know if you would be considered.
The Facilitators are being shortlisted first because they are the Master Trainers who would train other NPC Adhoc Staffs such as the Enumerators, Supervisors etc.
As at now, the NPC Recruitment 2022 list for Enumerators, Supervisors etc are yet to the released by the National Population Commission (NPC).
The NPC Recruitment 2022 list for Enumerators, Supervisors etc will be released between January and February, 2023 while Training will continue till March 2023.
The Nigerian 2023 Nationwide Popluation and Housing Census will be conducted in April, 2023, according the National Population Commision.
Over 2 Million Adhoc Staff will be recruited across the 36 States plus FCT to enhance the smooth conduct of the first digitised Population and Housing Census in the country.
The application for the NPC Recruitment 2022 was closed on 28th December 2022. Shortlisting and Training of Applicants are currently ongoing.

4. If your Status in PENDING, kindly note that your Application is under Review.
5. If your Application is APPROVED, Congratulations, you have been selected to participate in 2023 Nationwide Population and Housing Census Programme.
Kindly note that your Application Status may remain PENDING even when you have recieved mails and Text Messages for Training. In this case, once you conclude with the training, it will change to APPROVED. That's the final selection. It is then you can proceed to imput your Account Number for receiving Payment for the job.
As an Applicant of the NPC Recruitment 2022, you can know if your shortlisted by doing either three of following: Using the NPC Recruitment 2022 Application Status Checker, Receiving Text Messages and/or Emails or visiting your State NPC Office.
The Nation Population Commission has stated that NPC Adhoc Staff who participate in the 2023 Nationwide Population and Housing Census exercise excellently, would be awarded Certificates which would distinguish them when applying for other jobs.
