Ecstasy has returned among the Batch C Stream 1 Npower beneficiaries as the National Social Investment Management System continues to credit the Bank Accounts of the beneficiaries with the N30,000 July Stipend.
The Npower Management announced the initiation of the July Stipend Payment on Friday, stating that crediting of the Batch C Stream 1 Npower beneficiaries' Bank Accounts would commence in no distant time.
As at Today, over 60% of the Batch C Stream 1 Npower beneficiaries' Bank Accounts have been credited with the July Stipend.
Beneficiaries who haven't recieved Credit Alerts for the July Stipend Payment should exercise patience, as the payment has been programmed to drop into all beneficiaries bank Accounts. There is no need to panic.
The Npower Management speaking on Backlogs owed to the Batch C Stream 1 Npower beneficiaries has assured that all outstanding Stipends would be cleared in no distant time, especially as the Ministry intensified efforts to wind up the Batch C1 Npower Programme, and usher in the Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries.
One of the key reasons why the Batch C2 Npower Programme is being delayed is to pay up the Batch C1 Npower beneficiaries and free the payment platform for the Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries.
It will be a disaster to feed-in the Npower Batch C2 payment information into the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System Server (GIFMIS Payment Platform) when the Batch C1 Payment information are still there. It will credit the Bank Account of the Batch C1 Npower beneficiaries in error.
Several attempts have been made to feed-in the Npower Batch C2 Deployment information into the NASIMS Portal but it always mixed up other data in the platform. That's why NASIMS opted for manual deployment and manual update of deployment data. It is slow but a lot of errors are being avoided.
While the Npower Batch C1 August Stipend will be initiated in no distant time within the Month, all outstandings Payments will be cleared as well.
This will free both the NASIMS platform and GIFMIS Payment Platform for the Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries next month to mark full commencement of the Batch C2 Npower Programme.
All that is required from the beneficiaries is for them to remain patient while the Batch C1 Payment is concluded and the Batch C2 fully ushered in to commence the 1 year Npower Programme.
Some Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries have asserted that there is no time to complete the 1 year Batch C2 Npower Programme may be because of the 2023 General Election or fear of change of Government.
There is no need to worry about that. Once the Npower Batch C2 is captured in the 2023 Budget, no Government will stand against it.
Also, FEC has approved the National Social Investment Programme Agency Establishment Bill. The bill will be approved by National Assembly and NSIP will stand as a Government Agency just as NAFDAC, NCS, NDLEA, etc.
With this, it will be an established Government agency by law and no Government can wipe it without passing through the same law.
