Microsoft Africa Transformation Office in collaboration with NIRSAL has organised a mentorship and funding opportunity for Nigerians who are interested in providing Agro and Agro-Tech solutions.
Agro-Tech Hackathon NG is an initiative of Microsoft African Transformation Office in collaboration with NIRSAL to select inclusive solutions that bolster sustainable and inclusive platforms, employment generation and agricultural value chain that is digitally accessible to farmers and Nigerians.
The major objective of this Challenge is to identify and produce solutions that bolster sustainable and inclusive platform(s) for Agro-products and services that is digitally accessible to farmers and customers by the Nigerian youths.
Each shortlisted applicant in the first phase shall be paired with another to form a team (from different fields) leading to 4 week Mentorship with world class Agro-specialists and Microsoft Team.
Prizes to be worn
At the end of the competition, three teams with the most outstanding solutions will be selected for funding and technical support by Microsoft and its partners.
Consolation prizes will also be given to the top 20 finalists of the hackathon.
Top winning teams would share a sum of 5 Million Naira with other consolation prizes and recognitions by Microsoft and partners for other finalists.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be between the age range of 18 - 45.
- Applicants must be Nigerians.
- Applicants must be passionate about Agric-preneurship, technology or entrepreneurship.
- Application is open to both male and female.
