N-power Batch C: Physical Verification not for one day, do not panic

The Physical verification of the 510,000 successful beneficiaries of the Batch C Stream 1 N-power Programme has today (10th September, 2021) commenced across the 774 Local Government areas of the Federation.

While panic has ensued among some beneficiaries who are unable to catch up in the venues today, it is important to note that the 2021 N-power batch C Physical Verification can not be concluded in a day.

Reports from the venues indicated that the exercise commenced partially in some LGAs while in most LGAs, it has been postponed to a scheduled date.

For instance, in Akoko Local Government of Edo State, the Physical Verification of N-power Beneficiaries in the area has been shifted to Wedneday 15th September, 2021 while Kosofe Local Government of Lagos State has been tilted till Monday 13th September, 2021.

Also, confirmed reports from many Local Governments in Borno, Katsina, Adamawa, Kaduna, Edo, Lagos, Enugu, Bayelsa etc indicated that the Physical Verification exercise was postponed due to technical issues, unpreparedness of the Officials or absence of the Officials.

While many States have communicated a new schedule for the Verification exercise, some States are yet to fix a new date, but expectedly, next week.

The inconvenience of the scheduled verification exercise today is not far from the fact that it was close to the week end whereas Friday is not a strong working day in Nigeria.

The fact remains that the Physical Verification exercise is still a valid and compulsory process for the engagement of the successful beneficiaries of the Batch C N-power Programme regardless of when it will be concluded across the States of the Federation.
