N-power Batch C: List of PPAs sent to NASIMS, Deployment to commence soonest

The Lists of all Places of Primary Assignment (PPA) in the States and Local Governments of the Federation where N-power Beneficiaries are likely posted have been sent to the National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS) ahead of Deployment.

The Enugu State Focal Person on N-SIP, Dr Innocent Ogbonna, disclosed this when contacted on the progress of the N-power Batch C engagement    as the Federal Government prepares to usher in a new batch of 500,000 beneficiaries in the States and LGAs under the Batch C Stream 1.

According to Dr Ogbonna, "when we recieve the final list, it will be a full list containing the deployment information of all the beneficiaries. But as at this moment, no list has been recieved by the States."

Since the establishment of N-power as a job creation strategy in 2016, the current deployment will be the first to be conducted by the Federal Ministry Humanitarian Affairs,  Disaster Management and Social Development.

Recall that N-power was institutionalised into the Humanitarian Affairs Ministry in 2020 after the engagement of the Batch A and B in 2016 and 2018 respectively by the VP Osibanjo/Afolabi Imoukhuede led team.

The usual Places of Primary Assignment for N-power Beneficiaries are within their Local Government of Residence. This is to ensure that the beneficiaries do not spend much money on transportation in the course of discharging their duties.

Where N-power Beneficiaries are Deployed to

The N-power Beneficiaries are posted to Primary and Secondary Schools, Health Facilities/Centers/Posts and Agricultural Zones, Blocks and Circles closer to their LGA Residential Addresses.

What to expect in the Current Deployment

During Deployment, the successful 500,000 stream 1 N-power Beneficiaries will be deployed to their PPA (Place of Primary Assignment) specifically in their States and Local Goverments of Residence as earlier stated.

Those in N-Teach will be deployed to Government Primary and Secondary Schools within their Local Governments of Residence and will be under the State Ministry of Education and their bodies.

Those in N-Health will be deployed to Government Health Facilities/Centers/Post in their Local Governments of Residence, under the State Ministry of Health.

While those in N-Agro will be posted to Agricultural Zones, Circles and Blocks in their Local Governments of Residence, under the State Ministry of Agriculture.

During the release of the final list to the State NSIP Offices, to be recieved by State Focal Persons, it will contain your deployment information which will be displayed in your NASIMS Profile.

NSIP Offices will dispatch to all concerned State Ministries. The Ministries will mandate all the Heads of PPAs (Head Masters, Principals, OICs, HODs/Zonal Cordinators) to accept each N-power Beneficiary deployed to their Schools, Facilities or Agricultural Zones.

Each N-power Beneficiary is expected to visit his/her PPA with posting letter to be issued by the specified State Ministry, signed and Stamped.

The Head of PPA will in turn issue an Acceptance Letter, signed and Stamped which will be uploaded in the NASIMS Portal. A copy of the Acceptance Letter may be returned to the State Ministry.

Yes, the PPA can be changed, if the need be, but through appropriate proceedures which will be later discussed in details.

Other sub-categories of N-power such as N-tech, N-Creative etc run a separate kind of programme which involves in-house training. This training is done in a specified period, 3-6 months. Stipends of usually N10,000 is paid with all necessary working tools, Laptops etc provided as the case may be.

How Physical Verification will be likely conducted for the N-power Batch C.

Since the establishment of N-power, Physical Verification is done before Deployment. This is however expensive as the Verification and Data Transmission/Returning Officers are paid for the processes which takes up to 2 weeks to conclude.

With the intention of deploying the N-power Beneficiaries before Physical verification, it is a measure to cut cost as the Physical Verification will fall in the State Ministry where your PPA is placed under.

It will still involve sighting of Documents uploaded including academic qualifications, IDs, etc.

After the Physical Screening, Posting Letters will be offered to the successful beneficiaries and data returned to NASIMS through the State N-SIP Offices.

A candidate can still be screened out at this stage when not in possession of the exact uploaded documents, and that will be end of the candidate's N-power Journey.

Kindly wait for the official commencement dates.
