N-power: FMHDS readies for N-power Batch C, okays MMCCgroup for awareness

The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has intensified efforts for the engagement of new 500,000 N-power beneficiaries into the N-power Programme following the launch of the Programme on the NASIMS Portal nasims.gov.ng.

Recall that the Ministry had in June/July, 2020 disengaged the previous 500,000 N-power beneficiaries formed as 200,000 and 300,000 Batch A and B respectively who have spent at least two years in the programme while announcing the commencement of the Batch C in the same month.

The Ministry had in a statement disclosed that the N-Power Batch C is structured to onboard one million beneficiaries beginning with an initial 500,000 in the first stream (Batch C) and another 500,000 in the second stream (Batch D) adding that the NASIMS platform will facilitate seamless beneficiary verification, including an efficient transition and exit management plan that will enable beneficiaries to be migrated automatically to the NEXIT Program for POSSIBLE placement and employment opportunities with FG agencies.

In several success stories promoted by MMCCGroup Ltd, a Media and Communication company, through a Facebook Page FMHDSMMCCGroup, the Ministry has demonstrated their commitment in ensuring that N-power Programme delivers President Mohammadu Buhari's intention in lifting millions of Nigerians out from poverty.

Stating the achievements of the N-power programmes while showcasing video Testmonials by the previous beneficiaries of the N-power Programme, the Ministry noted that:

  • Over one million Nigerians have directly or indirectly benefited from the N-power Programme.
  • N-power has graduated two batches of beneficiaries  (Batch A and B) in the following categories: N-Teach, N-Agro, N-Health, N-Build, N-Tech etc.
  • The employability and entrepreneurship among the beneficiaries have seen significant improvement.
  • N-power has created multiples of new jobs and impacted varied number of skills on beneficiaries for the purpose of growth and development of the Nigerian economy.

However, the disengaged beneficiaries of the N-power Programme have decried non-implementation of the NEXIT Programme and the sudden shutdown of the NEXIT Registration portal as thousands of the beneficiaries are yet to declare their interests in the Programme.
