The Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouk, Thursday, disclosed that plans for the enrolment of the Batch C N-power Beneficiaries are being concluded.

Speaking in Abuja during a two-day sensitization workshop for journalists, the Minister noted that currently, the ministry is about concluding the enrollment of 1,000,000 Batch C applicants in two streams of 500,000 in the first instance and another 500,000 later.

The Ministry had on 11th May, 2021 concluded an online Screening Test organised for more than 4 million applicants of the Batch C N-power Programme which commenced immediately after the launch of the NASIMS Portal www.nasims.gov.ng on 11th March, 2021.

Farouk speaking further in the event captured in Daily Trust https://dailytrust.com/n-power-were-not-owing-any-backlog-minister stated that her ministry has concluded with the 500,000 Batch A and B N-power beneficiaries, noting that all outstanding Payments have been cleared while focus is on the enrolment of the Batch C N-power Beneficiaries.

“We have sorted out all the backlogs of N-Power payments with the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation and we have moved on to the next batch,” she said.

The statement has however stirred tension among about 12,000 exited Batch A and B N-power Beneficiaries who had protested non-payment of their Backlogs of more than three Months.
