Breaking: NASIMS Portal closes for N-power Batch C Record Update and Online Screening

The NASIMS portal www.nasims.gov.ng specifically created to ensure seamless interaction between the N-power programme and its beneficiaries has officially closed for the online Record Update cum Screening Test of the 2020/2021 N-power Batch C Applicants.

Before the close of the portal for the Record Update and Online Screening Test, the Management of the programme had issued a warning, "Dear N-Power applicants, the NASIMS portal closes on the 11th of May, 2021 by 12 midnight. Please make sure your records are fully updated on the portal." What this means is that applicants who have not completed the processes before the stated deadline, will not be considered part of the Batch C N-power Programme. However, batch D will follow soon.

The N-power Batch-C registration commenced on June 26th, 2020 through "www.npower.fmhds.gov.ng" but due to the need to revitalise the programme and other NSIPs through the National Social Investment Management System, the applicants data were migrated to the NASIMS portal www.nasims.gov.ng.

Launching the NASIMS Portal on 11th March, 2021 followed by immediate commencement of the N-power Batch C Record Update and Online Screening Test on the same day, the Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouk, stated that " the NASIMS platform will help ensure transparency, institutional memory, and dynamic impact assessment of the N-Power cluster, Batch C, thus providing seamless interaction between the programme and beneficiaries."

During the event, Farouk pointed out that "through the NASIMS portal, beneficiaries will receive their stipends on time, have access to a wide range of industry-specific content for leveraging enterprise learning, communicate their concerns and receive prompt feedback from the programme implementation teams."

She added that the NASIMS platform will also facilitate seamless beneficiary verification, including an efficient transition and exit management plan that will enable beneficiaries to be migrated automatically to the NEXIT Program for POSSIBLE placement & employment opportunities with FG agencies.

The Mininster dislosed that the N-Power Batch C is structured to onboard one million beneficiaries beginning with an initial 500,000 in the first stream and another 500,000 in the second stream.

"N-power programme is a critical component of the FG's National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) and supports the FG's vision of lifting 100 Nigerians out of poverty over 10 years. The objective remains to upskill young Nigerians for employment or entrepreneurship," she added.
