MSME Survival Fund: Fake Survival Fund Twitter Handles misleading Applicants


While the Project Delivery Office of the N75Billion MSMEs Survival Fund Scheme has intensified efforts to ensure that all verified applicants of the Payroll Supports Track of the Scheme recieve their payments, some Fake MSME Survival Fund Twitter handles have continued to dish out false and misleading information to the public, contradicting the efforts of the PDO.

Some of the fake accounts had claimed that massive payment would commence on 31st March, 2021 which shattered the hope of the applicants who watched their phones till morning of 1st April, yet there was no Alert.

Six fake MSMEs Survival Fund Twitter handles have been identified as participants in peddling false information/replies to the public against the immense efforts of the Federal Government to fully and efficiently implement the MSME Survival Funds Scheme.

While these fake accounts hide under the pretence of retweeting tweets from the Project Delivery Office official Twitter Handle https://mobile.twitter.com/SurvivalFund_ng @SurvivalFund_ng, and other Federal Government Intervention Scheme, they do not proffer solutions that align with the intents of the programmes.

The PDO had encouraged the applicants of the Payroll Supports Track to remain patient as payment is on going, assuring that all verified applicants would be paid in no distant time.

The Payrol Supports track of the MSMEs Survival Fund Scheme ensures payment of N30,000 - N50,000 to employees of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as part of the National Economic Sustainability Plan (NESP), a Federal Government effort to cushion the effect of COVID-19 Pandemic on MSMEs in Nigeria.
