Breaking: Humanitarian Ministry debunks fake list

The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has taken to it's Social handle to debunk a website widely circulated through the social media alleging that the List of shortlisted candidates for the 2020 N-power Program has been released.

The Phishing website instigates victims to enter their personal details such as Phone, Email etc to check their names while instructing them to send to 20 of their WhatsApp Groups to be availed an access for a "Documentation Stage."

"Congratulations, you have been shortlisted for the N-power program!

You will be reached through Email on the next thing to do. Always ensure you check you email frequently.

How to start documentation?

 1. To start your documentation, First click the green button "WHATSAPP" and send this information to 12 groups on Whatsapp.

 2. After sending the message, you will go to the next step where you will be able to process your documentation," the fake website instigated.

Since the close of the application portal in early August, 2020, there has been two attempts to defraud prospective N-power Volunteers through malicious websites and fake lists of Shortlisted candidates.

Daily Info Update  has been on the microscopy of facts, advising and ensuring applicants of the 2020 N-power Program do not fall victims of rampaging fraudsters even as their patience wither on awaiting the official list for the next stage of the Batch C N-power Program.

Meanwhile, many Nigerians have attributed the inceasant attempts by Fraudsters to manoeuvre the 2020 Batch C N-power Program, to the delay by the Ministry in officiating the next stages of the recruitment so as to engage the beneficiaries, noting that the more the delay by the Ministry, the more they expose the desperate applicants to Fraudsters.
