A concerned Nigerian, Okpara Ijieze, has alerted Nigerians to be wary of a Facebook page named 'Nirsal Microfinance Bank' currently with 622 Likes which is a fraudulent duplicate of the Official Nirsal Microfinance Bank Facebook page with currently 33,024 Likes.
The fraudulent page on Facebook which has started unleashing financial gimmicks on Nigerians currently does not have or use a website but instigates victims to accomplish tasks such as registration for an 'SME Boost Fund' of N500,000 to N10 Million by purchasing registration forms online using 'Paystack' as a means of payment for the form while all communication would be carried out using an activated 'Facebook Message Button' on their target posts.
Okpara Ijieze noted with bewilderment that the cleverness of the perpetrators in mimicking the exact graphics (including background) of the Official Nirsal Microfinance Bank would be harmful to Nigerians as many struggle with desperation to survive the post COVID-19 trauma, necessitating his alarm to Nigerians.
The official Nirsal Microfinance Bank has previously warned Nigerians to be cautious of individuals or groups who may claim Partnership with the Bank noting that it does not partner any group, organization or individuals in the delivery of its financial services to Nigerians.
Nirsal Microfinance Bank is a Central Bank of Nigeria licenced financial instistution entrusted with Federal Government Loan Schemes such as the Agric, Small and Medium Enterprise Scheme (AGSMEIS), Anchor Borrowers Program (ABP) and the popular Federal Government COVID-19 Stimulus Package for Households and Micro Small and Medium Entreprises (MSMEs), the COVID-19 Targetted Credit Facility Loan.
