The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has debunked the news which stated that all Nigerians received COVID-19 Palliatives from the Federal Government.

Nigerians had recently thronged the Social spaces to backlash a statement allegedly  credited to the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouk, stating that "there is hardly anyone in Nigeria who didn't receive Federal Government Palliatives during COVID-19 lockdown. I went round the 36 States myself to distribute it."

Reacting to the publications which went viral in the social media, the Humaitarian Ministry stated that such statement is False and did not emanate from the Ministry or its Partnering Agencies.

The Ministry through its official website had also debunked a publication which stated that a huge sum of N13billion was spent on Home Grown School Feeding through a publication titled 'We did not spend N13bn on School Feeding Program -Sadiya Umar Farouk -Federal Ministry of Information and Culture."

The Minister while clearing the air on the alleged media misconception stated that about N500m was spent on the home grown school feeding, a statement which left many Nigerians wonder how school children at home were possibly fed while in their parents' houses and Schools on compulsory lockdown.
