The Federal Gocernment has released an official date for the commencement of the 2020 West African Senior School Cerfiticate Examination.
The Minister of State for Education, Mr Emeka Nwajiuba in Abuja during a Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 press briefing on Monday disclosed that the examination would commence on the 4th of August 2020 and end on the 5th of September 2020.
Mr Nwajiuba alerted parents to take note of the scheduled dates and await a schedule time table from the West African Examination council while they prepare their Children for the examination.
This is coming as the Federal directs partial reopening of schools essentially for the examination classes to ensure that the school children participate in this year's schools examinations.
The West African Senior Schools Certificate Examination which is usually conducted in May/June of every year has been delayed as a result of the Coronavirus Pandemic that hampered economic activities in Nigeria and around the world.
