N-Power Transition: Batch A and B to get individual transition plan

The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has yesterday announced the Federal Government's plan to exit the Batch A and B N-power beneficiaries from the N30,000 monthly stipends and  transit them into Government Entrepreneurship Schemes and private sector bodies upon completing a psychometric test of competence.

Stating the transition plan of the Federal Government was the Deputy Director of Information, Federal  Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Mrs Rhoda Ishaku Iliya, who disclosed that the portal for the recruitmemt of the Batch C of the program would open on the 26th of June, 2020.

The Vice President, Profesor Yemi Osibanjo, on Friday during his participation as a guest panelist in the Emmanuel Chapel's Economic Sustainability Beyond COVID-19 Webner, restated the Federal  Government's plan for lifting 1milion Nigerian Youths out of poverty, emphasising that the President Mohammadu Buhari led administration has already engaged N500,000 N-power beneficiaries in the Social Investment Program and would expand the program to accommodate more Nigerians.

The Vice President has in his previous speeches noted that the Federal  Government does not intend to exit the existing beneficiary into the street as exit plans are being worked out.

The Minister for  Humanitarians Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouk, during the transfer of the National Social Investment Program into the Ministry Humanitarian Affairs argued that the program lacked future plans for the N-power Beneficiaries.

Mrs Maryam Uwais, the Special Adviser to the President on Social Investments, while responding to the assertion of the Minister noted that the program while in the office of the Vice President had exit plan being worked out as they were engaging with the Government and Private sectors to secure a meaningful exit plan for the existing beneficiaries.

The Minister however agreed with Mrs Uwais to exit the beneficiaries upon perfecting an exit plan for the existing N-power Beneficiaries.

The Social Handlers of the N-power program while responding to an N-power beneficiary who asked for clarity of the transition plan, disclosed that the plan would be communicated to the beneficiaries individually and privately.

The Handlers of the N-power Program had in 2019 activated a transition package for the N-power beneficiaries which involved the selection of preferred area of advancement among preinstalled areas on their individual NPVN profiles.

The Handlers of the program however stated that the process was a test-run of the  activation phase of the transition program which would be unveiled at a premeditated time.

Meanwhile, the exiting beneficiaries who do not clearly understand the transition plans of the Federal Government has thrown their believes into the air, in sadness and fears of the boo of the society, who have started ragging the exiting beneficiaries in oblivion of the Federal Governments full intents.
