Lagos records 82 new cases as total Confirmed cases tops 3,140

 
The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced the confirmation of 195 new confirmed cases in Nigeria which has raised the total number of Confirmed cases to 3,145.

NCDC noted that as at 6th May, 2020, Lagos reported 82 new cases, 30 in Kano, 19 in Zamfara, 18 in Sokoto, 10 in Borno, 9 in FCT, 8 in Oyo, 5 in Kebbi, 5 in Gombe, 4 in Ogun, 3 in Katsina, 1 in Kaduna and 1 in Adamawa.
The Agency also announced 53 new Recoveries and 5 New deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria.

Current breakdown is as follows:
Total Confirmed Cases - 3,145
Total Recovery - 534
Total Death - 103
Active Cases - 2,508
Total States   - 34 + FCT
Total Tested Samples -21,208

The 53 Recoveries were reported as 37 in Lagos, 3 in Kano, 2 in Katsina, 6 in Ogun, 2 in Oyo, 3 in Ondo, 

While the recent 5 deaths were reported as 2 in Kano, 1 in FCT and 1 in Zamfara, 1 in Delta

Analysis from the current report from NCDC indicates that Lagos has 358 recovered victims, 40 in Abuja, 30 in Osun, 10 in Edo, 11 in Oyo, 18 in Ogun, 10 in Kaduna, 10 in Akwaibom, 2 in Ekiti, 2 in Rivers, 2 in Enugu, 8 in Kwara, 6 in Bauchi, 6 in Ondo, 6 in Kano, 8 in Katsina, 0 in Gombe, 2 in Delta, 0 in Borno, 1 in Abia, 1 in Niger, 0 in Jigawa, 0 in Gombe, 1 in Anambra, 1 in Imo, 0 in Benue and 1 in Sokoto.

The death toll as reported by NCDC indicates that Lagos has recorded 30 Deaths, 4 in Abuja, 13 in Kano, 8 in Katsina, 4 in Edo, 3 in Delta, 2 in Akwaibom and 14 in Borno, 2 in Oyo, 1 in Ondo, 1 in Ekiti, 2 in Ogun, 2 in Rivers, 4 in Osun, 8 in Sokoto, 1 in Kaduna, 1 in Yobe, 2 in Zamfara, 1 in Nasarawa and 1 in Jigawa, bringing the total death toll to 103.

The statistical report from NCDC also indicates that there are 920 Active cases in Lagos, 272 in FCT, 408 in Kano, 3 in Osun, 39 in Oyo, 51 in Edo, 75 in Ogun, 79 in Katsina, 8 in Kwara, 4 in Akwaibom, 77 in Bauchi, 74 in Kaduna, 12 in Delta, 7 in Ondo, 9 in Ekiti, 6 in Enugu, 10 in Rivers, 3 in Niger, 38 in Jigawa, 2 in Benue, 0 in Anambra, 102 in Borno, 103 in Gombe, 1 in Abia, 76 in Sokoto, 15 in Adamawa, 4 in Plateau, 44 in Zamfara, 1 in Imo, 15 in Taraba, 18 in Kebbi, 5 in Ebonyi, 5 in Bayelsa, 10 in Nasarawa, 12 in Yobe.

Cross River and Kogi State still remain untouched by the COVID-19 pandemic which is fast increasing in Nigeria.
