N-Power: Ecstasy fills the air over Payment

It is like the joy of Christmas or purportedly, the joy of the Easter that was fairly celebrated as many Christain N-power beneficiaries wished for a reverse of the kaleidoscopic vicissitude of time to behold the Easter once again.

The ring of an alert is an awake from the deepest slumber of life. That's the feeling of N-power volunteers as the news of the payment of their March stipends fills the air. Many have thronged the social spaces to express their joy over recieving the long awaited stipends.

Myinfoclock has earlier mirrored the space to offer a calming Publication encouraging the volunteers to wear a brave pose while their payments land in their bank accounts in less than 48 hours.

The Federal Government having heard the cry of the N-power volunteers who took over the social spaces since last week to express their deep-felt disappointment, hunger and desperation over the persistent delay of their stipends at a time Nigeria and the world are fighting the ghost war of COVID-19 and bitting economic underturne, bowed to pressure to brighten the airspace for the teeming Npower Volunteers.
'It's a thing of joy to celebrate in a critical time like this. We have waited for it. We celebrated the Easter with nothing. I almost had high Bp as the people I am owing were on my neck, now I am happy,' Ifeoma, a volunteer in Anambra stated.
The feeling is thesame for Salisu, a volunteer in Gombe whose wife recently gave birth to a bouncing baby boy.
The time is hard walahi. I have never seen a time like this in my life. The feeling of my wife having a baby at time like this was mixed. But now I can go and buy some things for my wife and the baby. This is not enough, the Federal Government should also add the N5,000 for COVID-19 as I will not have up to N5,000 in my account after withdrawing this one.
The N-power beneficiaries  who are in the heath sector are not observing the sit at home order like others in Teach and Agro, and have had a great brunt of the delay over increasing fairs.
We have been going to work without pay. Transport fair has increased, hunger everywhere. The payment is long over due. I am happy I have been paid cos I thought the program has already ended without the Federal Government notifying us. Those of us in the health sector deserve some extra pay since we are still at work while others have been at home. It's risky here but we still face our duties, Ekperemo, a volunteer in Rivers State stated.
The volunteers have appealed to the Federal Government to remember that the month of April ends in two weeks time. They emphasised that early payment is the motivator of work and pleaded with the Federal Government to consider paying them early so they will not be despicably perilled by this biting time.
