Dr Emeka Offor, the Chairman of Chrome Group, has through his Foundation donated 14(Fourteen) 40feet containers laden with medical equipment worth billions of Naira to named hospitals.
This was released through the Foundation's Facebook handle on the 29th of March, 2020. The beneficiaries are the first Batch of his benevolence as selected.
The First Batch beneficiaries are as follows:
- Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital Awka, Anambra State.
- National Orthopedic Hospital Enugu, Enugu State
- Federal Medical Centre Yenagoa, Bayelsa State
- Federal Medical Centre Katsina, Katsina State
- University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, Borno State
- General Hospital Daura, Katsina State
- Gombe State Specialist Hospital Gombe
- Kebbi State Medical Centre Kalgo, Kebbi State
- Nigeria Police Force
- Nigeria Army
- Ogun State Hospital Ilaro, Ogun State
- Central Hospital Benin City, Edo State
- General Hospital Oraifite, Anambra State
- Emergency Deployment
Total Commercial Value of all 14 Containers in Naira (₦395) ₦2,101,400,000.
In his remarks, he noted that more hospital equipment will be distributed across the country by his foundation. He urged Nigerians to stay safe and stay at home.
Many Nigerians have thronged the handle to appreciate his benevolence and encouraged him to do more.
