The Permanent Secretary of the Enugu State Ministry of Health, Dr Ifeanyi Agujiobi, has in a statement confirmed that a suspected case of COVID-19 was found in the State.
Dr Agujiobi stated that the Nigerian Centre for Disease and Control (NCDC) has been informed and samples have been collected and sent for investigation.
The suspect is a female who has been in UK for the past five months and entered Enugu through Owerri on 11th March, 2020 to visit her son. Dr Agujiobi further stated that the suspect is being monitored while they await result.
As at today Coronavirus has killed a total of 5,844 people while Confirmed case has risen to 157,297 infecting 153 out of 195 Countries of the world.
On the othe hand, a total of 75,941 people have recovered from the virus infection across the world.
