Trending Now: Jubilation fills Edo PDP as INEC declares winner

 

The members of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) have taken to the streets of Edo State to celebrate the Victory of Gov. Godwin Obaseki who has been officially declared the winner of #Edo2020 Gubernatorial Election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Delaring the winner of the Election, the  INEC’s Returning Officer, Prof. Akpofure Rim-Rukeh, announced that the People's Democratic Party Candidate, Godwin Obaseki secured 307,955 of the total votes, 84,336 more votes than his closest rival Ize-Iyamu, who got 223, 619 votes.

Obaseki had in 2016 defeated Pastor Ize-Iyamu in a guber race when the duo contested in APC and PDP respectively.
