NPC Recruitment 2022 Update: Why Applicants should not Change Application Information

A widely circulating Social Media post tittled "How to Review your NPC Application" has generated tension in the NPC Recruitment 2022 as NPC Adhoc Staff Applicants have been seen manipulating their Application Information in the NPC Adhoc Staff Regstration Portal.

The post reads, "If you made a mistake or you want to change some information on your census page, this is how you are going to change it.

"How to review your NPC application.

"Straight to the point: I will be providing a step by step instruction on how to review your NPC application.

"1. First step: enter the Census recruitment portal using this link: https://2023censusadhocrecruitment.nationalpopulation.gov.ng

"2. Second step: You'll be prompted to check your application status on the portal, click on it and provide the code required (your NPC ID or NIN will work).

"3. Step 3: Pay attention here, this is the trick, on the page that your application status is displayed, go to the address bar and edit it by adding "/prev" (without quotes) at the end of address, that is after .ng.

"4. After editing, the address should look like this: https://2023censusadhocrecruitment.nationalpopulation.gov.ng/prev

"Now enter the address and your details will be displayed."

The NPC Adhoc Staff Recruitment 2022, which its Registration "officially" commenced on 31st October 2022 and ended on 28th December 2022, has advanced to a Training Stage for Specialized WorkForce (SWF) and Facilitators, while it's on Screening Stage for the Enumerators and Supervisors.

At this stage, Applicants" essential data have already been generated for the Training and Screening exercise. Changing or Editing one's earlier job position from Enumerator to Supervisor or Quality Assurance Assistants/Rovers to Enumerator is a waste of time and will amount to dishonesty.

While the "NPC Portal Preview Link" could have been useful during Registration and a mistake was made, it is of no importance at a stage where application has been reviewed by the National Population Commission, and applicants especially Enumerators and Supervisors already contacted for Screening.

Again, a dishonest behaviour amounts to disqualification in an organised system, even if it wasn't late. During the NPC Adhoc Staff Registration, Applicants were advised to ensure that information being provided were genuine and correct before submission.

Summarily, NPC Adhoc Staff  Applicants should desist from altering their Application information through the Preview Link as it can not guarantee Approval of their application.

Altering Application information would rather create confusion, and outrightly a dishonest disposition that can amount to disqualification.

The "Preview Link can be of importance to Applicants who have forgotten Position they applied for but would not be necessary for editing application data at this stage.
