NMFB debunks N100,000 Household Grant Application News

The Nirsal Microfinance Bank (NMFB) has dismissed a widely circulated WhatsApp message which claimed that the bank has opened portal for a New Household Grant Offer.

The message reads:

"NMFB ₦100,000 Household Grant Application 2023

Nirsal Microfinance Bank (NMFB) just opened portal for Application of New Household Grant Offer of 100,000 Naira to help individuals in Nigeria finance for their needs this 2023 or maybe refinance an existing business.

Apply Now to be part of the Beneficiaries.

The Microfinance Bank, popularly known for the disbursement of the COVID-19 Targetted Credited Facility Loan, AGSMEIS Loan, Nigeria Youth Investment Fund and Non-Interest Window for COVID-19 TCF and AGSMEIS, described the WhatsApp message as Scam.

NMFB dissociated itself from the Whatsapp Message, warning that clicking on such link could result to identify theft.

The Bank had earlier alerted the public that Scammers are circulating text messages informing individuals that their NYIF loan has been approved, requesting they pay some money to get their token. 

"Please note that NMFB will never ask you to pay any amount of money to access our loan products. Kindly beware of fraudsters", NMFB clarified.
