In the NEXIT Loan training latest update today / Npower NEXIT news update today, the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has made a shocking report on the NEXIT Loan Training of the exited Batch A and B Npower Programme, as the long-awaited transition plan kickstarts next week.
Recall that the Special Assistant to Sadiya Umar Farouk on Media and Publicity, Mrs Ikem Anibueze, on Tuesday announced via her Twitter handle that the 5days NEXIT Loan Training would commence on 14th March and end on 18th March, 2022.
Announcing the commencement of the NEXIT Loan Training, Mrs Anibueze noted that out of the 500,000 Exited Npower beneficiaries, only 370,000 successfully registered through the NEXIT portal before it was shutdown.
She added that out of the 370,000 beneficiaries who successfully registered through the NEXIT Portal, only 230,000 beneficiaries successfully enrolled for the NEXIT Loan Training and declared their availability for the NEXIT Loan Training, using the USSD Code *45665#.
In her words, "Only 370,000 @npower_ng exited beneficiaries indicated interest when the portal was opened by @cenbank. 230,000 successfully logged into the USSD code confirming their residences and preparedness for the #NEXIT training programme."
However, in a shocking report late Tuesday, Mrs Anibueze announced that out of the 230,000 disengaged beneficiaries who confirmed their Residence and declared their preparedness for the NEXIT Loan Training, only 75,600 beneficiaries have been selected in the first Batch of the NEXIT Loan Training across the 36 States plus FCT.
"Training of the first batch of 75,600 @npower_ng exited Beneficiaries from the 36 states and the FCT is proposed to be flagged off next week in Abuja for the five-day entrepreneurial training, which thereafter, qualifies them for loans", Mrs Anibueze tweeted late Tuesday.
Recall that during the enrolment process, upon using the NEXIT Loan Training enrolment USSD Code, when shortlisted, you were told that you have been shortlisted for the Batch 1 of the NEXIT Loan Training.
Recall also that each attempt to confirm status and declare availability for the NEXIT Loan Training attracted N30, resulting in the large pool of exited Npower beneficiaries spending on average N90 each, while using the USSD CODE *45665#.
One now wonders how the 75,600 beneficiaries were selected out of the 230,000 beneficiaries who successfully logged into the USSD code confirming their residences and preparedness for the NEXIT loan training.
One also wonders the fate of the remaining beneficiaries, how the batching processes changed, and the reality of disbursing the Loan to the successful beneficiaries before the end of March 2022, as announced by the Ministry.
