NEXIT: News of Nexit registration ending Today, 250-800k disbursement all rumours - Kindly disregard

Contrary to false media publications on the happenings surrounding NEXIT Registration and it's implementation, it has become imperative to clear N-power Beneficiaries, based on facts and not speculation, as the NEXIT Programme prepares to advance to it's next phase.

Just this morning, a false publication claimed that the NEXIT Registration portal closes by 11.pm today. That's very terrible. This is 100% false. This morning too, another publication stated that NEXIT Registration ends and disbursement of N250,000 - N800,000 commences immediately. This is the most terrible.

If it pays anyone anything to be a conveyor of false information, then it should be well understood that it has a long term damage on one's personality.

With Facts presented below, it is obvious that times are hard but N-power Beneficiaries are encouraged to avoid building on false hope based on rumours pervaded by conveners of mischief which in turn would motivate them to develop more hatred against the government when it fails.

Here are Facts you should know as an Exited N-power Beneficiary:

1. NEXIT Registration has not ended. Also, it is not ending today.

The Special Assistant to Sadiya Umar Farouk on Media and Publicity, Mrs Nneka Ikem Anibueze only stated that the NEXIT Registration would end "in few days" while directing exited Batch A and B N-power Beneficiaries who are unable to log in to the NEXIT Portal to send their details through her official Twitter Handle https://mobile.twitter.com/nnekaikem1. She did not mention any date. That was on Wednesday.

On Friday (being yesteday), she redirected the exited N-power Beneficiaries unable to log in to the NEXIT portal to utilise the N-SIP Supports email address for the purpose, having noticed that her Twitter handle has been heavily bombarded by thousands of N-power Beneficiaries who sent in their details, making data collation inefficient.

If you are affected, use the new method above to send in your information as stated.

2. The news of 250,000 - N800,000 disbursement to N-power Beneficiaries is FAKE and only God knows where it was gotten from.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouk, has never in an official statement stated that a sum of N250,000 - 800,000 would be disbursed to N-power Beneficiaries as Loan or whatsover.

Initially, the NEXIT Plan - a collaborative efforts of the Humanitarian Affairs Ministry and the Central Bank of Nigeria was designed to enable the exited Batch A and B N-power Beneficiaries benefit from CBN Intervention Programmes such as the AGSMEIS Loan or the Anchor Borowers Programme.

However, in a following press statement, the Minister stated that:

i) 200,000 beneficiaries will be engaged as financial services operators under the Shared Agent Network Expansion Facility (SANEF)

iii) others would have the option of benefiting from the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) micro-enterprise loans.

Even considering the GEEP loan, it will not be for all the N-power Beneficiaries and GEEP loan is not N250,000 to N800,000 at a start. It starts with N50,000 to N100,000 and increased up to N300,000 upon repayment of previous loans.

False information is a killer, avoid it with passion.
