In a statement by the Agency, it noted that the free CAC Certificate collection would commence on Thursday 15th April, 2021 till May, 2021 at Enugu SME Center adding that the distribution would commence with a first batch of 2,000 beneficiaries who would be sent invitations for the free CAC Certificate collection.

"Ndi Enugu,

We are glad to announce that the CAC certificate from the CAC Formalisation Grant is ready and will be distributed to small businesses from Thursday 15th April 2021 till May 2021.

Note: You will be sent an invite that you are mandated to come with. Certificate Issuance will be in batches. We are commencing with the first 2,000", the Agency stated.

The Enugu SME furthered that interested applicants who did not benefit in the current distribution should however be ready to reapply as the programme continues in no distant time.

"If you don't make the final cut off, you can reapply under the Enugu State CAC Formalisation Matching Grant that would soon kick-off", Enugu SME stated.

The Formalisation Supports Track is a component of the Federal Government N75 Billion MSME Survival Fund Scheme where by 250,000 MSME owners will have their businesses registered free of charge by the Corporate Affairs Commision. According to the State by State distribution, each State would have about 6,066 businesses freely registered except for few States such as Lagos, Kano and Abia considered as the hub of SMEs - which would have a relatively higher number of beneficiaries.

The Project Delivery Office of the Scheme had in an earlier statement disclosed that out of 250,000 Targetted beneficiaries under the Track, 100,000 beneficiaries have emerged across the States of the Federation, with 92,000 ( ie 92% of the total beneficiaries) as Nigerian Youths aged 18-35 years.
