Zamfara State has joined the 26 States of the Federation plus FCT that have recorded cases of the Coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria.
This was released by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) at the wee hours of Friday 24th April, 2020.
According to NCDC, as at 11:30pm 24th April, 114 New Confirmed cases were recorded, bringing total Confirmed cases to 1095.
The reported noted that 80 cases were recorded in Lagos, 21 in Gombe, 5 in FCT, 2 in Edo, 1 in Ogun, 1 in Oyo, 1 in Kaduna, 1 in Sokoto and 2 in Zamfara.
The Agency went further to diclose that 5 cases previously recorded in Lagos, have been transferred to Ogun State. It also noted that 1 New Death was recovered while 11 victims of the COVID-19 have recovered and discharged, bringing total number of Deaths and Recoveries to 32 and 208 respectively.

According to NCDC, the 1 new death was reported in Edo State while recoveries were recorded in Lagos.
The death toll as reported by NCDC indicates that Lagos has recorded 16 Deaths, 3 in Abuja, 1 in Kano, 1 in Katsina, 3 in Edo, 1 in Delta, 1 in Akwaibom and 2 in Borno, 1 in Oyo, 1 in Ondo, 1 in Ekiti, 1 in Ogun and 1 in Rivers, bringing the total death toll to 32.
Analysis from the current report from NCDC indicates that Lagos has 116 recovered victims, 35 in Abuja, 18 in Osun, 7 in Edo, 5 in Oyo, 5 in Ogun, 4 in Kaduna, 3 in Akwaibom, 2 in Ekiti, 2 in Rivers, 2 in Enugu, 2 in Rivers, 2 in Kwara and 5 in Bauchi, 1 in Ondo, 0 in Kano, 0 in Katsina, 0 in Gombe, 0 in Delta, 0 in Borno, 0 in Abia, 0 in Niger, 0 in Jigawa, 0 in Gombe, 0 in Anambra, 0 in Benue and 0 in Sokoto.The statistical report from NCDC also indicates that there are 525 Active cases in Lagos, 100 in FCT, 72 in Kano, 2 in Osun, 12 in Oyo, 9 in Edo, 29 in Ogun, 20 in Katsina, 9 in Kwara, 7 in Akwaibom, 3 in Bauchi, 6 in Kaduna, 5 in Delta, 1 in Ondo, 1 in Ekiti, 0 in Enugu, 0 in Rivers, 2 in Niger, 2 in Jigawa, 1 in Benue, 1 in Anambra, 10 in Borno, 30 in Gombe, 2 in Abia and 2 in Sokoto, 1 in Adamawa, 1 in Plateau, 2 in Zamfara.
